Senior Systems Operations Engineer


Job Description


The Senior Systems Operations Engineer will support Mission Critical hardware for NASA Human Space Flight Program. The Senior Engineer is the Program Manager’s technical liaison.  The Senior Systems Operations Engineer supports programs from the early phases of program capture through integration and test especially as an operations liaison leading to flight.


Basic Qualifications


  • Fifteen (15) years of hands-on experience with Human Space Flight Programs
  • Focus on Launch vehicle processing and main propulsion systems experience
  • Focus on procedures and operations of launch vehicles
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to work comfortably with people at all levels within a client’s organization
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Experience clearly documenting operations and implementing technical solutions
  • Results-oriented, self-motivated, energetic, professional, reliable, and a team player
  • Experience with model based system engineering




  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and/or related field
  • Minimum of fifteen (15) years of engineering experience on Human Space Flight programs
  • Strong propensity for System-level thinking. An ability to understand wide-reaching impacts of decisions across the system
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, capable of daily direct customer interaction
  • Strong organizational skills to provide clear, coherent, and concise information quickly and confidently
  • Able to prioritize activities and effectively support multiple projects/tasks
  • Ability to travel to support various events
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
